My original sheep were rescued from "left for dead" out in the field due to their momma ewes not being able to feed them, so my children and I picked them up one by one as their momma ewes rejected them and spent hours upon hours bottle feeding them and giving them lots of love and attention.
My sweet little one horned goat was skin and bones when she arrived. She was said to be pregnant but because of her lack of nourishment, she lost her pregnancy. She is an absolute doll and loves to eat and go for walks on a leash. She is the first to greet me in the morning and the first to want snuggles. This quirky goat has added so much joy to the gang and has bonded with the sheep and literally thinks she's a puppy dog. Her favorite pastime is to sneak in the back door and clomp clomp into the kitchen for a snack.
Molly, Cledus and Clyde were purchased by their previous owner for his autistic daughter and she lost interest in them so he decided to re-home them. Even though they were very well taken care of, they lacked the attention they deserved and I decided to add them to my little fur family. Molly was named after, well most of you will know who she's named after! Cledus is named after "Cledus Snow" from Smokey and the Bandit. Clyde is named after the orangutan from the famous Clint Eastwood movie, Every Which Way But Loose. I had decided to name them before I knew anything about them and when I went to pick up, the farmer hollered, "Get up in that trailer, Cledus!" I knew at that moment I had made the right decision.
This great protector of the flock was rescued from a Donkey rescue and had most likely been neglected or abused. Although he will not let anyone get too close, he spends all day and night protecting his friends.
